The ACNM is excited to announce that Ashley Prosper, MD was named as the 2016 ACNM Leadership and Health Policy Fellowship Recipient. Ashley Prosper, MD, a Nuclear Medicine Fellow at the University of Southern California in Los Angles, CA was selected as the recipient of the ingaural award. The fellowship will offer a first-hand experience in the process of leading a professional society and health policy development.
The fellow will spend the following year under the apprenticeship of the current President of the ACNM and donor. Apprenticeship opportunities will include but not be limited to: the ACNM Annual Meeting, board meetings, committee meetings, Capitol Hill Day and other related meetings and conference calls as determined by the donor and the ACNM leadership. The fellow will also be appointed to the ACNM Committee on Government Relations, International Affairs Committee, Clinical Practice Committee, Annual Meeting Program Committee, Development Committee and Leadership Academy Committee to serve a term of no less than one year. The fellow will keep a log of all activities and write leadership and health policy articles during the fellowship under the mentorship of ACNM leadership, for publication in ACNM Spotlight, in Clinical Nuclear Medicine and other appropriate imaging journals.
The Fellowship includes a $250 award provided through funding by the Education and Research Foundation for Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (ERF). The fellow will be honored during the ACNM Annual Meeting with the ACNM Leadership and Health Policy Fellowship Award and a plaque.
