Today, information is received through a variety of media. What social media excels at is providing immediacy and a network of colleagues. It’s evident that these channels provide valuable information, as SNMMI’s Facebook page now has more than 12,000 likes, and the SNMMI LinkedIn group has more than 11,000 members!
The society’s social media channels provide members of the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging community with news on the latest research, educational opportunities, regulatory changes, SNMMI advocacy efforts, scholarships and grants, and more.
SNMMI’s LinkedIn group is a little different from the other SNMMI social media. It is primarily a vehicle for participants to share news and network. The society manages the site and posts important news occasionally, but the group is for the participants to interact with one another.
If you are not already following SNMMI on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or have not joined the society’s LinkedIn group, please consider doing so. These information sources can help you stay on top of what’s new in the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
