New! "The Review of Radiopharmaceuticals Webinar Series" |
The Clinical Trials Network has created a wide range of educational offerings designed to serve as a fundamental link in promoting standardization of molecular imaging, creating a global atmosphere of striving to achieve quality in molecular imaging research. Developed by molecular imaging technologists and investigators experienced in performing multicenter clinical research protocols within the current regulatory framework, these on-demand online courses provide instant access to effectively train entry level, intermediate and advanced molecular imaging technologists, fellows, residents and supervising physicians. Most courses offer CE credit, and the list of offerings is updated throughout the year.
To view all available CTN offerings, go to www.snmmi.org/Education. Scroll down to “Online Education Programs” and select the appropriate link for your credit needs. When the SNMMI Learning Center page opens, type “Clinical Trials Network” in the search box at the top of the page and click the search tool.
An integral part of the Education Program is our excellent Webinar Series. Each year, the CTN identifies 6 key topics of interest to the clinical research community, including radiopharmaceutical manufacturing or image acquisition and processing. Expert speakers present these one-hour topics live, one every other month, which are recorded and made available for on-demand purchase from the SNMMI Learning Center. For those who cannot break away from their busy schedule or if located in time zones not practical to attend, these lectures can later be accessed and reviewed. Most webinars offer CE credit (AMA PRA/CME and VOICE) and are available for a nominal fee.

Past Clinical Trials Network Webinars - Available On-Demand
Each year, the CTN develops quality educational sessions that are presented at the SNMMI Annual and Mid-Winter Meetings, often in collaboration with other Society Councils and Sections. The CTN Site Education Committee and other ad hoc consultants assist in planning these programs, keeping in mind the audience and the ever-evolving landscape of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging.
Additionally, the CTN submits sessions for other venues to promote the standardization of imaging in research and moving novel imaging radiopharmaceuticals to approval. This includes presentations at the ASCO, NANETS, and other societies.
Newsletter: CTN Pathways
The CTN newsletter “Pathways” is published twice a year to coincide with the SNMMI Annual and Mid-Winter Meetings. Each issue presents timely articles on clinical research topics, status of novel investigational radiopharmaceuticals, information for technologists and upcoming events. A limited number of hard copies are available at the meeting, and the issue is always sent digitally via SNMMI Member News email. The current version and all past issues are available on the SNMMI website.
If you would like to write an article for a future issue, or want a hard copy of a past issue, please contact the CTN at clinicaltrials@snmmi.org.
Articles
In addition to planning education sessions and live webinars, the CTN identifies areas where published information would provide an alternate method in educating the community on clinical research and molecular imaging. Members from the CTN Site Education Committee, with input from other experts in the field, have written, edited and submitted a number of articles to newsletters, peer-reviewed journals and other publication avenues
Please see FAQs for additional information on the CTN Education Program.
